🌷True Reward...
Poetess : Tilottama Vijay Lele
Our world is obsessed with achievement
By having more-n-more of a commitment
Fortune's generated by new experiments
Some mountains R meant to be climbed.
From far, others R meant to be admired
So that their majesty will remain intact…
D bitter-sweet appreciations
Of understanding n transience
Admire d beauty no need to possess it
Often an attempt to capture or to achieve,
Keeps us away from d very experience
That Mother Nature has to offer...
Der R mountains all around us
That we'll never summit.
N that’s not some failure. It’s a choice.
It’s d recognition that life is short,
N our attention-span is limited,
Some mountains R not meant for us
They're waiting for others to climb.
Sitting at d base of some mountains
In awe we can look up n wonder.
N applaud for those who made d climb.
We'll learn from their journeys of summit
Der is no need to duplicate what's done...
We need to find our own mountains…
Smaller perhaps, less impressive ones...
But silently inviting n welcoming us...
Everything's not meant to be conquered
Not every mountain's Der to be climbed
Der R Few to Be Admired n Worshipped
To admire, appreciate, not to possess
We get d joy without conquest,
N it's a different kind of summit.
If d mountain calls us in a subtle way
N we find genuine joy in d visit itself
Then to repeat, we'll never hesitate …
So let's push ourselves
N Exceed those limits.
To Reach that summit.
Reaching d mountain top isn’t d reward.
D pleasant experience of climbing
Mother Nature speaks to our heart
N That's d True Reward…
