🌷Invisible World Of Our Own…
Poetess : Tilottama Vijay Lele
From outside our world appears crazy
N yet everyone here is extremely busy…
But d fact is we all R a Li'l Lonely,
We just hide that feeling successfully…
We all R from various environments,
We’ve either strict or pampering parents
Growing in shells or with lots of exposure
Where even light would be afraid to enter
We try to build relationships n friendships
To go through d difficult phases of Life…
In spite of all our efforts practicality.
From within we’re all honestly lonely…
Some express it openly, some laugh,
Calling it “just life,” we shrug it off…
For a connection we keep on searching…
Without realising what we’re truly missing
N some of us even get frustrated…
Becoz they don’t know about loneliness
It scares them as if it’s their biggest fear.
Few others hide their loneliness better…
They do it as if it’s part of their skin,
Invisible, untraceable nobody‘d imagine
That anything like this exists in their lives.
Loneliness isn’t due to empty houses…
It’s felt even when in crowded places
Conversations that feel real but R fakes
We talk about having no one to rant with.
Fact is, Der’s no one to share joy with…
Good news isn’t celebrated full heartedly
It’s often delayed or neglected totally…
We’ve learned to hold joy privately.
Maybe all R becoming too choosy…
Probably we’re afraid of being jinxed.
But no one cares to ask what happened
People R so weighed down by envy,
Can’t accept else’s joy wholeheartedly
As if fear lingers everywhere,..
N trust has quietly disappeared…
Attention spans R shrinking n thinning,
But our need to be heard is multiplying.
Like winters Sun we R all waiting for…
What solitude n solo-trips R meant for
So we’re adjusting n slowly growing…
Comfortable with our own company…
We’re learning to sit with our thoughts.
Trying hard to join all d missing dots…
Perhaps we’re becoming stronger,
More independent n more self-reliant.
Feeling lonely is just being human,
Within Der’s an invisible world of our own
