Poem : 🌷 " D Lesson "

In spite of doing everything right,
Things go wrong n still we hold them tight...

Sometimes d Lesson is " D Leaving "...
People, places n plans that R outgrowing...

Most of d times, life works d same way...
We grip so hard n become blind-love's prey..

D only thing that happens to people,
They get totally, stuck like a needle...

Not exactly stuck like our car in d snow,
But in a way that's stopped working ages ago.

Stuck in bad jobs, relations stuck with those,
Stuck in cities, like wearing ill-fitting-clothes...

N then some weird, unexpected happens...
Suddenly getting fired or relationship ends...

D lease runs out n d landlord won’t renew... 
Though feels like failure, it's a favor in view...

D hardest part isn’t 'leaving' itself for better, 
It’s admitting that we should've left sooner...

We cling due to "Sunk Cost--mentality"...
Psychologists call it "d Sunk Cost Fallacy"...

D fear of starting over keeps people trapped...
N uncertainty, unknown problems to be faced 

Systems n situations can be broken by design... 
They work for few n for others they don't align...

Our body can't differentiate dangers n changes 
Both'll trigger same, Fight-or-Flight responses...

So let's quit what’s not working to survive... 
Only then more than survive, we'll thrive...
