Der was a certain time when,
Relationships were rather simple
Becuz people chose each other
For fun, friendships n pleasure

N not for what they had,
But only for who they were...
Their positivity n good nature,
Were d only Starry Features...

Friendship bloomed in quiet corners
Even Love of life, was found...
In shared struggles n stolen glances,
Lives were woven with Romance...

Kindness was shown freely,
Without d weight of expectation.
Somewhere along we lost our way
N stopped "being a human"...

Society exposure changed us...
By whispering kin our ears,
That things should come...
With conditions n outcomes...

Now connections R built...
Just like business deals...
People R being measured,
N not at all cherished...

Relationships R being judged
On their actual returns,
Friendships, on their usefulness...
Appearances n connections...

Love, probably on it's ability...
To fulfill instant gratification...
We’ve been programmed to check
"What'll I get out of this action ?"...

Instead of self-checking, truly...
"Will this make me happy?"
We swipe left n right,
N faces- keep on scrolling...

Like best deal-hunting n grabbing
Friendships've become transactional
People stay close if it’s convenient,
N what's d offer, that's beneficial...

Every Relationship will carry,
A fixed date of expiry...
People won’t hold hands...
Through storms n lightening...

They'll jump from d ship...
At d first sign of trouble...
So Let's Break Free, from
This Vicious Circling Cycle...
