Since time immemorial
Human Mind is sceptical...

All d time we're extra alert n cautious 
Thinking, "people'll take advantage of us"

We can experience joys of various kinds
Some R very simple ordinary kind...

On a normal day just a simple gesture,
Can do wonders to d receiver...

But this day n age, we've built walls...
Of weariness, doubt that surround us

We're not ready to accept Joy easily...
Instead we raise an alarm unnecessarily

A simple smile, a favour or a deed,
Can make us suspicious n reticent kind

Instead of feeling warmth inside d mind
We start searching for d motive behind

We question, doubt n hesitate...
Instead of feeling happy n satiated.

As if being joyful is a wary behaviour…
A tiny Li'l happiness dries into vapour...

We convince ourselves that it's not for us
It's some kind of a trap n it won’t last...

If we receive affection, attention or peace
Immediately we'll check for cracks...

Good things felt temporary, unpredictable
N they're delicate to trust n risk to tackle

Joy's a thing that slips through our fingers
Even if we hold it tightly with utmost care

Maybe life has taught us to be cautious.
N we can't accept good, though it's Precious

In our Life, everything is temporary
Nothing is permanent, all is transitory

So why not grab lovely moments of joy,
Full heartedly, by opening our Mind-Sky...
