Poem : 🌷 " Joy Dwells In Our Mind "

With certain "thing" we become obsessed,
When finally we get "it" d joy is short-lived...

D "obsession" loses it's magical quality,
So it's "happiness high" wears off quickly...

These external happiness dependencies,
Just fade into d background of our lives...

We put our happiness on hold, in whole...
N let it rest on things outside of our control...

N then we wonder, why we feel so stuck...
Thinking we'll get it only with tons of luck...

Like getting a degree, a job or a partner...
When we'll reach d checkpoint, joy'll appear...

But in no time d joy'll reach it's end-point,
N we'll be left chasing d next checkpoint...

We long for a job, a soulmate, a Recognition...
More money, weight loss, a dream-vacation...

D problem isn’t our desire for all d things,
But d true issue is our faulty thinking...

D joy shouldn't depend upon external things,
Simply becuz, d joy dwells only in our Mind...
