🌷Cages Of Our Thoughts...
Poetess: Tilottama Vijay Lele
Often we build a cage for ourselves
N live our life as if it's " life-less "...
Cages R not made of harder stuff,
But of our thoughts that're rigid enough
Isolation quietly changes a person
Leaves no space for light to return
Der's difference between having a circle
N having boundaries around ourselves
When we've a circle, Der's a criteria
For everyone to enter in it,
So when someone fulfills that criteria,
He/she becomes part of our circle…
Having walls all around is totally different
To anyone we're unavailable n indifferent
We keep caging ourselves inside d walls
Even if our mind n body start to crawl
We neither let someone get in,
Nor even we try to get out of it…
D most we do is lean back on that wall
N listen to d sound from behind d wall.
D strangest thing about walls is that
After some time, they feel like home
They stop feeling like prisons to us
We get used to it, rest nothing matters
This way we decorate our loneliness,
N start giving names to our silence
We become so used to surviving alone
That we think this isolation is rare-stone
Then genuine care feel like unfamiliar
Even knock on wall sounds suspicious
Every kind voice feels temporary
So instead of opening door, we sit quietly
N hope they understand our silence
Without ever hearing our words
Many R terrified of being vulnerable
So think each act is entirely harmful
Because healing requires mutual trust,
N after disappointment it feels dangerous
So many of them choose distance.
They reply late n stop giving explanations
They slowly disappear from places
Where they once laughed n enjoyed
N one day they wake up realising,
They’re strangers even to themselves.
Creating barriers after each failing,
Isn’t d Master key to healing…
Deciding d doors deserve to remain open
N which should stay closed-ones...
Strength isn’t in becoming emotionless
It’s allowing ourselves to feel deep-sense
Without letting pain turn us,
Into someone unreachable n indifferent
Humans R not built to survive alone,
Even strong Ones need love in their-life
A voice that feels safe.
A presence to quieten d noise in mind
To remind that connection isn’t temporary
N not every goodbye is permanent.
Let's don't remain inside our Shell.
Let's leave space for light to enter n dwell
Leave space for a person who cares…
Not everyone arrives to destroy us.
Apparently some people come to remind
That living n surviving R different things
So why to build a cage for ourselves ?
Instead let’s enjoy Life's experiences…
